Since 1918, The Brothers of the Bronx Masonic District have made philanthropy one of our most important Masonic endeavors. Through our Charity Ball Ad and Booster program, we raise funds for a variety of nonprofits and help manage the many Bronx District Masonic Programs. Our Brothers, Friends, and Family come together to make a difference in the lives of people we may never meet in the hopes that our efforts bring them support, aid, and comfort

 

The Nonprofits we partner with have varied missions. Some shape the moral fiber of our children through Boy and Girl Scout programs, we support three Houses of Worship, as well as community food banks and outreach services. We help our Masonic Home in Utica and a hospital that provides hospice care and family support services in our own community. We host four blood banks drives annually which provides hundreds of pints of blood and plasma to countless members of our community. In addition, we support the Grand Lodge of New York in its charitable missions via the Masonic Brotherhood Fund and the Grand Masters’ Veteran efforts.

 

We support our Sisters from Minnehaha Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star with their efforts as well. Providing aid, guidance, and member support to their various causes, we come together for charitable acts ranging from donating to their blanket drive for sick and injured children to joining our Sister’s efforts with their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events. When we come together as one family under Masonry, there is nothing we can’t achieve.

 

While we may not see how these efforts impact others, the satisfaction is in knowing that we strive to make a difference. We may not be changing the world in a grand way, but if we can make a difference in the world for just one individual, then all our efforts are worth it.
